I’m in pursuit of equal rights because Racism is one the biggest and most common problem around the world. Racism was worse back in the day than what it is today. Black people didn't have equal rights than white people did. White people treated black people horrible, white people disrespected black people, and Black people were slaves for white people. Black people didn’t get enough money and was treated poorly. Martin Luther King jr is one of the most important people that lived and helped prevent racism. He was known for his contributions to the American civil rights movement in the 1960s. His most famous work was when he spoke about his dream of having the United States be as one and stop racism. In conclusion, I think people should treat each other equally and respect each other, even if they have a different race, culture, and skin color. Racism can cause huge problems from bullying a kid at school about their race to causing wars because of racism. I think people should look others and should think of them as normal people that wants normal lives, and at the end of the day they are just people that have equal rights.
