I chose to make a poster about the sea. I chose to make a poster about saving the sea because the sea is very important. If the ocean becomes polluted with trash, than the sea creatures and thousands of organisms living will die and or go extinct. The ocean may be a place to have fun, and swim but to other living creatures besides humans, it is their home. Imagine having your home being filled with trash all the time, and having other creatures around you die all the time. The quote “Save the sea,” means that humans have to take action into our own hands and start to clean up and stop polluting. On average, there are about 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic debris in the ocean. About 269,000 tons of plastic is floating on the surface of the sea. Nearly four billion microfibers per square kilometer litter the deep sea. All types of animals eat, inhale, and swallow microfibers of plastic. Animals think the trash is food, once the animals bodys realizes it isn’t real food, their body stops working and starts to fail, and die. If this pattern continues to happen with more trash filling the ocean, than more sea creatures will die.
