In America and many other countries the word “Immigrant” is used, but what does it mean. The dictionary says “a person who comes to live permanently in a foreign country.” Another word that is also used or brought up with the word immigrant is “Illegal.” Some people believe that if you are not born in America and are not an American citizen that they do not belong in America. While on the other hand people believe it does not matter who you are or where you come from it’s where you belong. Immigration Is a major conflict in this country. I believe that everything happens for a reason, if you come to America you belong here. America was built on hope and dreams. I also believe that it does not matter where you come from because grandma is a first-generation immigrant from South Korea. If she did not immigrate here I would not be alive today. I am proud of my heritage and will fight for it.
