This image is of my great-grandmother working in a science lab in 1936. My intention with my photo is to show all women that even in a time of unjust laws, my great-grandmother pushed through and followed her dreams of being a scientist. In those times it was unusual to have a woman pursue that kind of career but she did it anyway. This picture should show women of all ages that you can do and dream anything you want and you shouldn't let anyone stop you.
