Women in Film Only 20% of people in the male-dominated film industry are female, and most of them do not get the credit they deserve. You could probably only name one female director right off the bat, and ten male ones. Women in film need more awareness and girls need to know that they can do anything- including breaking the glass ceiling in male-dominated industries. We need to spread the word and inspire women to dominate and pursue film. We need people to be able to name more than one.
